From my experience, I have install this application on Windows Server 2003, 2008 and Windows 7.
It working fine.
Nagios could not retrieves data from Windows.
Basically, there's no need to configure anything on LINUX operating systems for sending information/ data to Nagios. Unfortunately, Windows Operating systems need to be install with additional software which is NSClient++ that can be download it for free from http://www.nsclient.org/nscp
